The Windsong Foundation

Nurturing community for Artists using our 3-acre property to provide rest and healing through playful creative exploration and retreat.

  • Windsong foundation exists to allow space for Artists to restore, process, and create. By 2025 we seek to transform our 3-acre property in North county San Diego into a retreat/workshop center and short-term artist residency space. When our vision is realized, Creatives spanning multiple disciplines will come here to find rest, healing, and community through connection with themselves, each other, and their maker.

  • Working for 25 years as a missionary in the entertainment industry, I’ve seen the underbelly of our industry… I work with people that sign their lives away with the understanding that they will give their best years away to agencies who openly exploit them until they are rendered useless. Music/Film/TV are cruel masters whose objective is simple… Promise the world, and give you nothing of substance! In 2017 I was given a vision and a clear picture of my family as a bridge to God. Praying through this presented an opportunity to buy a 3 acre property that will serve broken people. Responding to that opportunity led to the gift to partner with the Creator… to serve Artists so that they will know the ONE who cares so deeply for them!

  • To achieve success in entertainment often means being separated from support systems and nurturing communities. Artists often lack the necessities of sleep, proper nutrition, intimate support, and finances - leading to a decrease in mental, physical, and familial wellness.

  • The world and the church alike will care for creatives as long as they share their unique gifts. A bottleneck is inevitable when artists reach “burnout,” and become uninspired. Time and time again they are abandoned… This narrative creates a deep longing to be known! Caring for the Artist's hearts when they are out of the spotlight is what we are called to. We seek to use our 3-acre property as a place for artists to rest, restore and create through therapy workshops and retreat.
