WHY LABS

The Church knows how to sustain what is. We help launch what’s next. Each Lab is a focused cohort for ministry founders building on a specific frontier: evangelism, church planting, digital mission, next gen discipleship, and more. We partner with leading ministries and organizations to design each Lab, find the founders, and build what’s next.

INSIDE A LAB:

Our multi-month, hybrid cohorts combine intensive mentor gatherings with virtual coaching.

DEEP FORMATION

We shape the builder. We ground founders in the Gospel and the mission of God, forming the theological clarity and spiritual resilience needed for long-term ministry.

01

VENTURE DESIGN

We strengthen the venture. We help founders design, test, refine, and launch new ministries and mission models built for sustainability and real-world impact.

02

STRATEGIC COMMUNITY

We build together. We connect founders to a global network of peers, mentors, partners, and funders supporting builders for the long game.

03

FOR THE BUILDERS.

Labs is for ministry founders with an early-stage venture and a specific frontier to build on. You see the roadmap, but need formation, structure, and a community that can take you further.

FAQ

  • Labs are thematic innovation programs built in partnership with major ministries, churches, and mission organizations.

The church has many structures designed to sustain what already exists. Very few exist to help pioneers launch something new. Labs exist to close that gap.

  • Ministry founders and early-stage builders working on new initiatives that advance the mission of the Church. Church planters, evangelism leaders, nonprofit founders, digital ministry pioneers, missionary entrepreneurs, and leaders building new models for Gospel engagement.

  • Nonprofits, ministries, church-based initiatives, mission projects, and select mission-aligned businesses and technology platforms. The common thread is that the work must meaningfully advance the mission of the Church.

  • Traditional accelerators focus on financial scale. Labs focus on founder formation, ministry sustainability, and Gospel impact, helping leaders navigate the unique spiritual, organizational, and strategic challenges of early-stage ministry.

  • Each multi-month, hybrid (in-person and virtual) cohort includes:

    • Founder Formation & Peer Cohorts: Deep relational and spiritual support.

    • Venture Design & Execution: Practical planning and pitch development.

    • Mentorship: Guidance from experienced ministry leaders, theologians, and operators.

    • Network Exposure: Connections to strategic partners and aligned funders.

  • Each Lab tackles a specific ministry frontier, such as:

    • Evangelism & digital mission

    • Church planting & disciple-making

    • Faith, technology, & media

    • Next-gen engagement and discipleship.

    • And more

  • Leading ministry founders, church leaders, executives, strategists, theologians, operators, creatives, technologists, and funders. We build interdisciplinary community environments intentionally to bring the best of established leadership toward emerging innovation.

  • We co-design Labs with leading denominations, mission agencies, churches, and philanthropic partners. Missional Labs serves as the design and execution partner and long term support platform.

  • Labs are primarily launch and formation environments, not grant programs. However, founders gain exposure to aligned donors and partners, and select Labs may offer catalytic seed support.

  • We look for early-stage builders, .e. those with an early concept, prototype, or newly launched initiative. We selectively admit founders based on calling, character, missional imagination, and execution capacity, over existing scale.

  • While many institutions sustain existing ministries, few exist to launch new ones. Labs close this gap by creating dedicated spaces to identify, form, and release the next generation of kingdom builders.
